Winter Reflective Walking Gear FAQ

Why is reflective gear important for winter walks?

Winter walks often happen in the dark, before work and after sunset. Reflective gear helps drivers and others see your dog sooner in low light, lowering the risk of accidents near roads and paths.

How does reflective gear actually work?

Reflective materials bounce light from headlights, streetlights, and torches back to the source, making your dog show up brightly. It needs a nearby light to work, so it performs best on lit streets and around traffic.

Do I also need a clip-on light?

On lit streets, reflective gear alone is usually enough. On very dark, unlit paths with no cars or street lighting, add a clip-on light like the GO2 LED Light — it's visible from over 500m and gives active light that reflective material can't provide on its own.

Is reflective gear only useful in winter?

No. It helps in any low light, foggy days, rain, and dawn or dusk year-round, but it earns its place most in winter, when far more walks happen in the dark.

What reflective gear does EzyDog offer?

Our reflective walking gear includes everyday harnesses and leads with reflective detailing built in, giving visibility and everyday function in one.

How do I keep the reflective detailing effective?

Wipe off dried mud and dirt, which dull the reflective areas, and follow the care label. Clean detailing keeps catching light well all winter.
