EzyDog Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 19 120 196 107) (EzyDog, we, us, our) cares about your privacy.
This policy explains what personal information we collect through ezydog.com.au and our related customer activities, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) for our marketing communications.

1. What personal information we collect
1.1 Information you give us directly
When you shop with us, create an account, subscribe to marketing, contact us, leave a review, return a product, register a pet profile, or apply to or take part in our ambassador, creator, or affiliate programs, we may collect:

1.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, open our emails, or interact with our advertising, we collect device and browser information, IP address and approximate location, pages and content you engage with, and identifiers stored in cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (see Section 4).
1.3 Information from other sources
We may receive information about you from advertising and analytics platforms, reviews platforms, retailers and wholesale partners where you've consented to share your details, our co-branded business partners, and public sources such as your social media profile if you tag us.
1.4 Information we generate about you
In running our business we generate further information about you, including customer segments, predicted preferences, and audience scores. We treat this as personal information.
2. How we collect personal information
We collect personal information directly from you, automatically through the technologies described in Section 4, and from the third parties described in Section 1.3. We only collect personal information by lawful and fair means.
3. Why we collect and use personal information
We use your personal information to:

Run our business: process and fulfil orders, payments, returns, and exchanges; operate accounts; verify identity; prevent fraud; and meet our legal obligations

Provide customer service: answer questions, handle complaints, and manage warranties

Communicate with you: send transactional messages, and (where you've consented) marketing emails and SMS, lifecycle messages, and abandoned cart and browse reminders

Advertise and retarget: measure ad performance, retarget visitors who have browsed our site, build Custom Audiences and similar audiences, exclude existing customers from acquisition campaigns, and optimise our advertising

Where the law requires your consent for a particular use, we ask for it. You can opt out of marketing and of targeted advertising at any time (see Section 6).
4. Cookies, tracking, and advertising
We use cookies, pixels, server-side tags, and similar technologies on our website and in our emails to operate the site, measure performance, run our marketing, track advertising conversions, retarget visitors, and build audiences on advertising platforms.
To do this we work with third-party providers across website operation, analytics, advertising, email and SMS marketing, reviews, customer service, and returns. Some of these providers are based outside Australia (see Section 7).
To run retargeting and audience matching, we may upload identifiers such as your email address (hashed for security) to advertising platforms so they can match you to their users. We treat this as a disclosure of your personal information.

We share personal information with:

We do not sell your personal information.
6. Direct marketing and your choices
You can control how we communicate with you and how your data is used for advertising.
Email marketing. You only receive email marketing if you've consented. To unsubscribe, click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or update your MyEzyDog preferences, or contact us at enquiries@ezydog.com.au.
SMS marketing. You only receive SMS marketing if you've consented. To unsubscribe, click the link next to STOP in any marketing SMS, or update your MyEzyDog preferences, or contact us at enquiries@ezydog.com.au.
Transactional messages. We will still send you transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping updates, returns, and customer service) after you opt out of marketing.
Targeted advertising, retargeting, and Custom Audiences. To opt out:

Opting out of advertising doesn't stop you from seeing ads — the ads you see will be less relevant. Opting out of advertising doesn't opt you out of email or SMS marketing.
7. Sending information overseas
Some of the providers we use are based outside Australia. By using our services you acknowledge that your personal information may be disclosed to recipients in countries including the United States, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Denmark, and the Philippines.
We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, including through contractual data protection terms.
8. How we protect your personal information
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information against misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.
If we ever experience a data breach that's likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
9. How long we keep personal information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this policy, and for any period required by law. This includes keeping order and tax records for at least 7 years to meet our obligations to the Australian Taxation Office, and keeping content produced under ambassador, creator, and affiliate agreements for the period set out in the relevant agreement.
When personal information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
10. Your rights
Under Australian privacy law you have the right to:

Correct any inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading information

Withdraw consent for marketing, advertising, or other uses that rely on your consent

Request deletion of personal information that's no longer needed for the purposes we collected it for (we may need to keep some information to meet legal obligations such as tax records)

We review this policy regularly and may update it from time to time. Where we make material changes we will update the policy and, where required by law or where the change materially affects your rights, notify registered customers.
